Penis enlargement methods

Penis enlargement, sometimes called amusing male enhancement, is a technique that increases the volume, length, and strength of the male penis.

How to enlarge the penis

Procedures range from exercises to stretching machines and surgeries, with success and failure reports from around the world. Some of these are pure scams while others can be successful. When advertising fraudulent products, the distinction between a temporary increase, i. e. an erection, and a permanent increase is often deliberately falsified.

Legitimate research has been done specifically on penis enlargement; it turned out that all statements about a significant and constant increase are due to one-sided or unsystematic, unverified objective research and possibly stand on the side of the interests and emotions of the source. There is currently no evidence to suggest that there are non-surgical methods that continuously increase both the thickness and length of the normal penis. A general study of the safety and efficacy (or lack thereof) of the ingredients of various pharmaceutical and quasi-pharmaceutical preparations was carried out; but so far nothing has been found to compel traditional medicine to use it. There are also some invasive procedures, the negative consequences of which range from cracking the skin and scarring to long-term loss of sexual function. Because of the speculative nature of any hope for "improvement" and the many known cases of chronic trauma associated with the attempt, many practitioners are skeptical of the subject and tend to avoid this area.

Much of the commercial penis enlargement procedure market is based on the unsubstantiated claims that having a large cock increases sexual prowess and attractiveness to a potential mate.

Enlarging a normal penis is different from seeking relief from the known medical condition of microelene, which may involve surgery to increase the size of the organ for urination or sexual function. Penis size concerns can (in extreme cases) be a psychological / psychiatric condition that is best treated by a qualified health care professional.

Penis enlargement surgery

There are different types of surgery, each with the risk of similar complications. The second international consultation on sexual dysfunction concluded that most men do not want to undergo surgery unless they are informed of the approximate consequences and risks of complications.

Tablets and nutritional supplements

Penis enlargement pills, plasters, ointments are often advertised all over the Internet. Many products contain harmless substances, but there are many products that have not been tested at all for safety and side effects, and no product has been scientifically proven.

Physical methods of enlargement

Various physical methods have been used in attempting to enlarge the male penis. To date, none of them have proven effective. Techniques include stretching, enlarging with light weights, and increasing blood flow and / or blood pressure in the penis. There is also a significant "overlap" between methods of penis enlargement and methods of achieving a different effect, specific problems such as reversible impotence, prolonged erection duration, improved sexual orgasm, and so on.

Penis pump

A penis pump is a cylinder located inside the penis that has a manual or stand-alone pump that creates a partial vacuum around the penis that increases as blood flows to it. As the vacuum increases, the pressure in the blood vessels of the penis increases; excessive vacuum causes vascular damage.

Pumps can be used to provide temporary relief from symptoms of impotence, but they do not cure the disease itself: ring-shaped tourniquets must be used to keep the blood trapped in the penis or the erection will die. The pumps can work even if nerves or vessels are involved that prevent natural erections, but excessive or prolonged use (several hours) can cause long-term damage.

Pumps must be used very carefully to avoid serious injury: excessive excitement can rupture blood vessels and form blisters.

Kazem, Hosseini and Alizadeh investigated the effectiveness of such pumps for permanent penis enlargement. They examined 37 men whose penis was less than four inches long and who did not notice any significant change in penis length after six months of using the pumps, although 30% of them were satisfied with the method. The article's conclusion suggests that vacuum treatment of the penis is not an effective method of enlarging it, but it does provide some psychological satisfaction for some men.

The pumps have been used successfully in the treatment of men with Peyronie's disease, which causes unusual shortening and curvature of the penis. A study by the Department of Urology in London on 31 men found "a clinically and statistically significant improvement in penis length, angle of curvature and pain after 12 weeks of vacuum pump use". In this study, subjects with Peyronie's disease were pumped for ten minutes twice a day for 12 weeks. The additional penis length of 0. 5 centimeters on average was a side effect that was found in about a third of the test subjects and was not the focus of the study.

Clamp

Tensioning is a very risky and dangerous method. The purpose of the clamp is to increase the length of the penis with compression devices such as a shoelace, cable clamp, or tight ring, which are used to limit blood flow from the organs. The device is securely attached to the base of the penis and the man is engaged in "promotion" (prolonged masturbation). The metal ring is dangerous because the blood gets stuck in the penis. This can be the reason why it is not possible to remove the ring afterwards without emergency aid by amputation or sawing off the ring. Clamping can cause catastrophic long-term damage to the penis.

Hand exercises

Jelq

Jelqing is a physical therapy method that aims to achieve "natural penis enlargement" by increasing blood pressure and circulation. This is done by repeatedly stroking the penis in a squeezing motion from its base to the glans; In order to achieve the same effect, special devices have been developed. This movement is reminiscent of milking.

According to the BJUI article, the method is of ancient Arabic origin; the Arabic word for "milking" is sometimes claimed as the etymological root of the term, but this is a controversial issue and the actual origin of the term becomes unclear.

Despite the unsubstantiated statements made by the proponents of the method about its effectiveness, there is no medical report that confirms its effectiveness. Medical journalist Christopher Wanjek also said that claiming that the method "enlarges the blood-filled cavities of the penis that are supposed to increase erections does not make biological sense".

Although jelqing is considered to be the safest of all "radical" methods of penis enlargement, it can cause blood vessel rupture, scarring, pain, disfigurement, and desensitization of the penis.

Cosmetic methods

Instead of changing the actual size of your penis, you can make it look bigger by removing pubic hair or simply losing weight. Circumcision is also sometimes (humorously) cited to make the penis appear more visible, both more and less.
